ABOUT US

COURAGE TO BEGIN
STRENGTH TO BECOME

FAITH-INTEGRATED CLINICAL COUNSELING FOR MEN

At Bear Creek Recovery, we know it takes courage for men to reach out for help. Life’s pressures can leave you feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck. These struggles often show up as anxiety, depression, addiction, or a quiet sense of not measuring up.

You’re a man with a story that matters. Our approach combines practical tools with faith-integrated principles, helping you reconnect with your purpose, your values, and what matters most. We believe the family is under attack, and when men lose their sense of purpose, everyone feels it. When a man gets grounded again mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, everything starts to change. His relationships improve, his confidence returns, and his direction becomes clear.

At Bear Creek Recovery, we help men rebuild themselves so they can rebuild their families. When a man gets clear, grounded, and steady, everything around him starts to change. We help him reconnect with who he is and what matters most, and give him the tools to rebuild his relationships with strength and intention. Grounded in faith and focused on real change, we provide the direction and support to move forward with clarity and confidence.

OUR MISSION IS CLEAR

We help men rebuild what matters.

Justin Makin, CMHC
Clinical Mental Health Counselor

Justin “Bear” Makin is a licensed counselor who helps men find their footing again, building strength, direction, and confidence along the way. His approach is grounded, direct, and shaped by real world experience and faith. He works with men facing trauma, stress, and challenges that affect relationships, work, and everyday life.

He believes counseling should feel like a place where you can show up as you are, without pressure or pretense. Real progress comes from honest conversation, working through what has been weighing on you, and reconnecting with who you are at your core. Justin understands the impact of a difficult upbringing, strained relationships, and the ongoing pressures men may be carrying.

With a background in owning residential treatment centers, he brings a steady, practical approach. His work blends proven tools with faith, helping men find clarity, rebuild their foundation, and reconnect with a deeper sense of purpose.
