ABOUT US

COURAGE TO BEGIN
STRENGTH TO BECOME

FAITH-INTEGRATED SPECIALIZED COUNSELING FOR MEN

At Bear Creek Recovery, we know it takes courage for men to reach out for help. Life’s pressures can leave you feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck. These struggles often show up as anxiety, depression, addiction, or a quiet sense of not measuring up.

We offer a space where you’re more than a number. You’re a man with a story that matters. Our approach combines practical tools with faith-integrated principles, helping you reconnect with your purpose, your values, and what matters most.

We believe the family is under attack, and when men lose their sense of purpose, everyone feels it. When a man gets grounded again mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, everything starts to change. His relationships improve, his confidence returns, and his direction becomes clear.

At Bear Creek Recovery, we help men rebuild their lives on a stronger foundation rooted in purpose, accountability, and faith. We give you the tools, direction, and support to move forward with confidence and clarity.

OUR MISSION IS CLEAR

We help men rebuild what matters.

APPROACH

The Bear Creek Way

1

ONE ON ONE COUNSELING

No fluff. Just straight talk in a private setting built for men. This is your space to drop the weight, sort through the chaos, and get back to who you really are.

2

DYNAMIC APPROACH

Not one-size-fits-all. Just real conversations that adapt to you. This is where you face challenges head-on, strengthen your foundation, and move forward with purpose.

3

BUILT FOR HEALING

No guesswork. Just proven tools grounded in truth and evidence, with faith. This is where you gain clarity, build resilience, and take back control of your life with purpose.

Justin Makin, CMHC
Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Justin “Bear” Makin is a licensed counselor dedicated to helping men rebuild strength, direction, and confidence. His approach is grounded, straightforward and rooted in both real-world experience and a deep sense of faith. He helps men work through trauma and stress that impact performance, relationships, and everyday life.

He believes counseling shouldn’t feel clinical or intimidating. It should feel as natural and comfortable as going to a ball game. Real change happens when men reconnect with who they are and what they believe. Justin understands the weight of a tough upbringing, strained relationships, and the hits that can wear down a man’s confidence and mental health.

With a decade of experience running residential treatment centers and years in the Midwest oil fields, he brings a real-world, no-nonsense approach. His work combines practical tools with faith, helping men gain clarity, rebuild their foundation, and move forward with purpose.

Dr. Mark Siebert D.ed., LCSW
